About the bride
Though living "all over" , Gen considers herself a mountain gal. At the age of 14, she and her three siblings, Ben, Sarah, and John, moved to the mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho. It was in Sun Valley that Gen nurtured her love for the outdoors; growing up snowboarding, snow shoeing, hiking and camping. Sun Valley gave her the confidence that allowed her to move to the big streets of Manhattan, New York where she began her acting career. Her career would bring her to Los Angeles, Albuquerque and eventually, Vancouver where she shot SUPERNATURAL.

About the groom
Jared's San Antone roots have given him the two strong feet on the ground. He is a typical cowboy, fighting for whats right and keeping things simple. His Texas genes have given him a love for the country and passion for drama. These two characteristics have blended together and brought him to Los Angeles where he has grown a steady career since the age of 17. Work was a tough choice for him. Jared grew up with strong values and emphasis on education. It was at 17 where he faced a tough decision to work or go to UT Austin as an engineer major. His work opportunities got the better of him and he deferred a year which turned into a few years and his career has taken off and he's never looked back.

How we met
Jared and Gen met on set. It was the second day of filming season 4 of SUPERNATURAL. Jared began the conversation by asking "Where are you from?" to which Gen replied "All over." Her terse answer took him by surprise. But her terseness led them to funny texts and goofy jokes on set. After many music conversations, sharing of playlists, and exchanging of literature and 4 months, Gen and Jared went on their first date and "have been going steady ever since."

The proposal
It was Gen and Jared's one year anniversary and Jared flew from Vancouver to New York City, where Gen was filming a movie. It was a cold rainy day, but that didn't stop them from having fun and running around the city. They stayed at Central Park South and the view from their hotel was breath taking. From the room you could see the entire park and including the Metropolitan Museum of Art where their favorite painting hung. They had some time before dinner, so Jared suggested walking to the Met to see their favorite painting. When arriving, Jared thought that the approaching evening would deter people from lingering in the museum, but the down pour outside only encouraged people to stay. They zig zagged around people until they finally reached their painting waiting for them. And right in front of Joan of Arc Jared asked Genevieve to be his wife.

Not only do people have to fly to Idaho, but they recommend people land in Boise and then drive/get driven THREE HOURS to Sun Valley. Yikes. It also talks about costs, so the guests are footing their own travel bills.
They aren't getting married in a church, it's a lodge/public country club - reception to follow in the same place.
